Project period: 01/2004–
Project description: Our aim is to strengthen cooperation among institutions, support interdisciplinary research, advance education for sustainable development, and help ensure that high-quality scientific knowledge is more effectively reflected in public decision-making and practical solutions. SDSN Czechia also connects the Czech expert community with the international SDSN network and facilitates access to global knowledge, data, methodologies, and examples of good practice.
Role of CUEC in the project: Charles University is the host institution of SDSN Czechia and provides the institutional background for the Secretariat of the national network. As the oldest and largest university in the Czech Republic, it connects excellence in research and education with cooperation with national and international partners. Through SDSN Czechia, Charles University supports the translation of scientific knowledge into practice and the development of cooperation in sustainable development.
