International Seminar to establish a Czech RCE
The Charles University Environment Center and the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem (UJEP) are preparing an international seminar for 9 & 10 February 2012 to support the establishment of the first Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development in the Czech Republic and the first in the former communist bloc outside Russia.
The seminar will be held in conjunction with a meeting of the MOSUR project partners and will be hosted by UJEP. A range of international speakers from the European RCE community has been invited to discuss the RCE concept and the practicalities of establishing an RCE, including, among others, Dr Maik Adomssent from the Leuphana University of Luneburg, Dr Clemens Mader from the University of Graz, Jos Eussen from RCE Rhine-Meuse, and Dr Zinaida Fadeeva from the United Nations University Institute of Advanced Studies.
The seminar is currently in its planning stage, but all interested parties, including other European RCES, and potential Czech RCE stakeholders/partners are encouraged to attend. Attached here is a draft seminar programme. You can also view the open invitation. To register for the seminar, simply fill out this enrolment form. Finally, here is some general information about the location and accommodation recommendations, etc.
